This EV951 microphone is an absolutely awesome customization which was designed for use with standard PA system Low Impedance XLR inputs. The mic arrived as a DOA has been chopped from the original swivel mount and has been fitted with a male XLR connector at the bottom of the stem.  The dead crystal element has been replaced with a vintage Shure dynamic element similar in tone to the element used in the Sphere-O-Dyne microphones and a volume control has been added about 1" below the head of the mic leaving plenty of room for cupping the head of the mic.The mic measures 5" in length and is just under 1 3/4" in diameter at the head of the mic and it fits perfectly in most hands for an easy cup.  The mic has been powder coated in a beautiful Candy Teal Metallic and the chrome grille is in excellent condition with new foam behind it.This is the perfect mic to carry to the gig for playing through the PA system without any amp or other gear to carry.
